Ho Ho Chiak Food Trip!!

CCS is representing you "Ho Ho Chiak Food Trip". The committee will guides you to search for delicious foods around Klang Valley. So, what are you waiting? Sign up yourself to the CCS “Ho Ho Chiak” booth on 23rd(Monday) and 24th Nov(Tuesday).
***Those with cars are given priority.***

The trip's timetable are as follow:

730am Gather at SA bus stop.
800am Departure.
900am Arriving Petaling Street (game+eating session).
1100am Leaving Petaling Street.
1130am Arriving Alor (Milky fish mee,Sirlion mee,Asam Laksa)
200pm Leaving Alor
230pm Arriving Kepong (Hong Kong desserts-mango sago, mango chee cheong fan, etc)
530pm leaving Kepong

600pm Damansara Uptown (Digesting time-Game!!).
800pm Leaving Damansara Uptown.
830pm Arriving SS2 Food Street.
945pm Leaving SS2.
1000pm Arriving Sungei Besi (supper-wanton mee).
1100pm Leaving Sungei Besi.
1200pm Reaching university (sweet dream to u all).

中华文化学会迎新晚会全记

2009/2010 年度的中华文化学会迎新晚会终于圆满结束!这次活动的成功有赖各位执委的充力合作。在此,本学会也要感激会员们的热烈参与,当晚的出席人数超出了主办单位预定的人数,你们绽放的热诚唤起了迎新会的夜晚。以下是当晚的活动流程 :

5.00pm
由于学会只获准许在五点过后使用行政大楼的礼堂,所以一切活动前的准备与实地彩排只能在短短的两个小时内完成。虽然执委们的事前准备与效率受到考验,但是执委们并没有让我们失望,所有的准备与实地彩排在特定的时间顺利完成。

7.00pm
只见这时登记处陆陆续续来了很多会员。在登记和领取会员证后,会员纷纷进入活动场地内等待活动的开始。会员们利用这个短暂的等待时刻到场地周围的学会分支摊口体验各个分支的活动与了解活动详情。在这里,笔者想再次提醒大家中华文化学会有六个分支分别是,扯铃组,辩论组,华文班,麻将组,象棋组以及刚成立的武术队。


8.00pm
八点时分,中华文化学会迎新晚会正式开始,大会安排了古筝表演作为开场。只见抚琴者缓缓从后台走出,手指跳动之间,一首“月亮代表我的心”荡然耳中,演出结束时,观众给与热烈的掌声。紧接而来的是武术表演,武术员的凌空翻腾赢得观众激烈的掌声,持刀的武术员更是威风飘然,顿时舞台上刀光剑影,看得观众节节赞叹。



8.30pm
大会司仪出场公布2008/2009年度的执委名单并向会员们解释各个分支的活动与活动详情。稍后,学会主席黄勇翰同学也发表了简短的讲词。

8.45pm
迎新晚会游戏环节正式引爆!当晚我们进行了两个游戏分别是“手牵手”和“鸡手鸭脚”。透过游戏,会员们能够互相交流,也在活动中认识新的朋友。

9.30pm
歌唱表演环节开始,表演歌手为我们带来几首动听的 歌曲分别是《祝福》,《眼泪》和《TrueLove》。

10.00pm
茶点时间!行政大楼的大厅摆放了华人的传统糕点和香喷喷的中国茶让大家享用。大家围绕在大厅,一边 享用茶点一边交流气氛非常融洽。茶点交流一直进行到10.30分大家才各自归去。












The Chinese Cultural Society Orientation Night 2009/2010 had been successfully held at 20th October 2009.The committee had done a great job in preparing this event; we hereby applauded them for their efforts which brought a lot of fun to us. Besides, we would like to express our appreciation to those who participated and supported our events, hope you guys really enjoyed the games and performances. Following is the timeline of the event:

5.00pm
The committee conducted the final rehearsal right after 5pm. Despite the short time slot, the rehearsal completed smoothly.

7.00pm
A lot of participants gathered in front of the entrance. Some of them even signed up themselves as CCS member upon waiting. After registration, they entered to the hall and visited those division’s booths which located around the hall.

8.00pm
The event begun with the Chinese zither (GuZheng) musical performance. GuZheng is build with a special wooden sound body with strings arched across movable bridges along the length of the instrument for the purpose of tuning. Later on, the show continued with Chinese Martial Art (WuShu) performance. The audiences seemed enjoyed both performances very much.

8.30pm
The master of ceremonies (MC) explained the information and queries of every activity divisions. Further, the president of Chinese Cultural Society, Gates Wong concisely made a speech.

8.45pm
Here it came the game session! We’ve played two games which are “hands hold hands” and “chicken hand duck foot”. The participants showed their intelligence in solving the game’s tasks.

9.30pm
The event continued with singing performances. The performer’s vocal had impressed the audiences.

10.00pm
Tea Time (perhaps its supper time)! Some light refreshments had been prepared to serve the participants. While enjoying the pastries and Chinese tea, the participants socialized with others at lobby. The event ended at 10.30pm.

Mini FoodFair

Couple days ago (2nd Nov), UNMC CCS had their very first mini food fair, which is now officially named

“Ho Ho Chiak” FoodFair ^^

IMG_3979On that day, we brought in 100 pieces of Egg Tarts and Chinese Pastries and successfully sold out within 1 hour!! (12pm to 1pm)

Thanks for your support and for those who dint manage to buy, no worries, we are bringing in more Chinese delicacies!
